  • Stetson Elementary School's community is ensuring high levels of academic achievement and promoting positive character development for all children. We accomplish this through a collaborative effort, maintaining high expectations in a safe atmosphere of mutual dignity and respect.

  • SES Wellness Sucess Story- 2019/2020

    This year Stetson Elementary School had many successes in the area of student and staff wellness.

    • 56 students, staff, and parents from Stetson participated in the district’s 4.9K race at Falcon High School and we were awarded the Golden Shoe Award for the third straight year and $200 for the highest percentage of participation
    • Stetson earned its 8th Fuel Up to Play 60 Touchdown award.  We had 25 students on our NFL Fuel Up to Play 60 team this year.
    • Stetson collected over 11,208 pounds of food for The Harvest of Love Food drive.
    • 166 lives were saved by the students participating in the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge and we raised over $8,310.
    • 21- 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls participated in Girls on the Run.
    • Stetson started a new social-emotional online program called Camp Timber which all grade levels K-5 used to help teach students social and emotional learning, using digital animations, real-life video modeling, songs, e-books, and off-line activities.  
    • Stetson played over 150,000 minutes of Go Noodle activities over the course of in-person learning August 2019- March 2020. 
    • Stetson staff members were given the opportunity to participate quarterly in a competition called “The Biggest Loser” which promoted healthy eating habits that led to weight loss.  There was an average of eight staff members who participated in each quarter of the competition.
    • 36 staff members participated in the “Walktober” multi-district steps competition in which District 49 won!!! 
    • 25 staff members participated in the “District 49 Gratitude Challenge”.
    •  Several grants were awarded to Stetson that provided:
    1.  Sensory items that we compiled into a sensory tub where teachers could check out resources to use in their classrooms.
    2. Teachers were provided with fit sticks again this year for those who had not received them the year before.
    3. Grade levels were provided with bags of P.E. equipment including playground balls, cones, and bean bags.
